Legendary Lasith Malinga has taken the second most wickets in IPL. The charismatic former Sri Lankan fast bowler has 170 wickets to his name. His ability to swing the ball at high speeds and accuracy make him a deadly bowler.

He has taken 90 wickets in death overs, where batters often try to score with a rapid pace and are often bowled out in the process. However, no one can question numbers. Malinga began playing for Mumbai Indians (MI) in 2009 and made his last IPL appearance in 2019. He played an instrumental role in MI’s title success in IPL 12. 

Amit Mishra is the next bowler on the list with 166 wickets in 154 innings. He has an impressive economy rate of 7.35 and has the knack of taking wickets during the middle overs of the match. At 40, Mishra is part of Lucknow Super Giants’ 25-member IPL 2023 squad. Among domestic bowlers, Mishra and Yuzvendra Chala have taken the most wickets in IPL.
